Studio 9 to 5 at Union Depot

Did you know that we offer three classes per week in Saint Paul FREE to the public in partnership with Union Depot?

For the past 12 years, Studio 9 to 5 and Union Depot have partnered to deliver free, accessible fitness and wellness experiences that support the health and wellbeing of the Saint Paul community.

This program has become a consistent point of access for individuals across a wide range of backgrounds, fitness levels, and financial circumstances. By removing common barriers to participation, it creates a welcoming environment where people can engage in movement, build connection, and support their overall wellbeing in a way that is both practical and sustainable.

Through participant experiences, we’ve seen measurable shifts in how people engage with their health, including improved physical and mental wellbeing, increased social connection, and meaningful progress through challenges such as loneliness and addiction. These outcomes align closely with broader community goals around public health, equity, and access to preventative care.

With hundreds of individuals participating each week, and tens of thousands through the years, this program continues to demonstrate the value of investing in community-based wellness initiatives that meet people where they are. It reflects what is possible when wellbeing is integrated into public spaces, supporting not only individual health, but also stronger, more connected communities.

We like to call this community “The Famous Union Depot Yogis” because many people have seen the large crowds gather at Union Depot for a Studio 9 to 5 class over the years!

Classes Move Outdoors

During the Summer months, starting Saturday May 2nd, 2026 our classes will once again move outdoors.

This year classes will be held on the East Plaza.

Not sure where the East Plaza is located? Watch the video of Studio 9 to 5 Instructor, Emily Rose, below!

There’s nothing that the power of community connection cannot overcome.

Yoga has a unique ability to bring people together. It creates a consistent space where individuals can focus on their health while also becoming part of something larger.

That shared experience builds connection, and over time, that connection supports stronger individuals, stronger relationships, and a more resilient community.
